Limited funds are available to provide financial assistance to postdoctoral fellows, students, and other non-physician researchers whose abstracts are selected for presentation but who are not in the position to support their own participation in the 12th Annual Symposium on Antiviral Drug Resistance: Targets and Mechanisms.

Application Requirements:

Acceptance of an abstract submitted for presentation at this Symposium.  The abstract must be a Microsoft Word file.  For additional details about abstract submission, click hereNote: The presenting author must be indicated on the abstract and must be the same individual who is applying for support.

CV and cover letter from the applicant, including current contact information.

Letter of nomination from the applicant's mentor or supervisor, indicating the applicant's need for participation support and affirming the applicant's status within the organization (e.g., postdoctoral fellow, graduate student).  The letter must be written on departmental letterhead and addressed to the "Symposium Organizing Committee."

The abstract, cover letter, CV, and letter of nomination must be sent by email to Teresa Burdette at burdettt@mail.nih.gov no later than SEPTEMBER 8, 2011.



Note:  Individuals who are interested in applying for participation support should not register online at the usual Symposium registration page.  Instead, the required application materials described above should be sent by email to Teresa Burdette at burdettt@mail.nih.gov.  If the request for support is granted by the Symposium Organizing Committee, the applicant will then be asked to fill out a modified registration form and submit the completed form to Dora Mullett at Informed Horizons (via email to dmullett@informedhorizons.com or fax to +1 866-534-6438).
